Each bean grows bundled inside a juicy fruit (known as a coffee cherry), previously considered a useless byproduct and discarded in massive numbers. 50 billion pounds of it annually, in fact. Processing
During the wet washing stage of production, cascara is collected from the coffee cherries and dried using sun-drying or air-drying processes. After careful water extraction, concentration and spray drying, our sustainable cascara extract is stored and transported as a ready to use soluble coffee fruit powder. Then, it just needs your ideas before it’s sipped and savored across the world.

Traditional coffee production wastes around 50 billion pounds of coffee fruit each year, generating methane and polluting water.
