During the 2024–2025 coffee harvest, ofi established 30 Coffee Kindergartens across Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua offering free care, education, and nutritious meals to 718 children (aged 6–13).

ofi’s feed supplement programme provides farmers in our New Zealand and Poland supply chains with a natural feed additive that helps reduce these emissions at the source.

The Infant Malnutrition System Alert (IMSA) smartphone-based application geolocates cases of malnutrition in Côte d’Ivoire, where one in five children experience stunted growth and development. This digital solution developed by an ofi staff member, won the Edie Social Sustainability Project of the Year award in 2025, for its innovation and impact. IMSA replaces existing paper-based screening questionnaires, enabling real-time alerts and earlier detection and treatment of malnutrition cases.

ofi works in partnership with the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI) in Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Uganda and Côte d’Ivoire, to create Community Child Protection Committees (CCPCs).

As a strategic partner in Nestle’s Income Accelerator Program in Cote d’Ivoire, ofi worked with local cooperatives to introduce UBEES, a beekeeping initiative designed to diversify and strengthen women cocoa farmers’ incomes.

In Uganda, our five-year partnership, launched in 2022 with Italian roaster Caffè Borbone, the ‘Mwani Women and Youth Project’, is working to empower young men and women through vocational training to improve the viability of coffee production for the next generation of farmers
